It is also important to recognise that many everyday demands are avoided simply because they are demands. Some people explain that it’s the expectation (from someone else or yourself) which leads to a feeling of lack of control, then anxiety increases and panic can set in.

PDA is lifelong, and like other aspects of Autistic life, can impact someone’s life very differently from time to time, energy, demands, hunger, sickness. let alone sensory factors can all play important factors in how the person perceived demands and can do what they need to do.
