the ABCs of the NDIS for Autism
Recently I shared some time on a Sunday morning to meet up with some of the parents from the Brisbane’s West Autism ADHD Network to share information around the NDIS.
I was joined by a team of generous souls who also are members of our group – comprising a Support Coordinator, Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Social Worker and together we sought to answer questions which ranged from:
- How to gain access to the NDIS
- What are early childhood supports
- What supports exist for teens and
- How to managed your funding
- Understanding the pricing guide
And so in typical hyperfocus mode, I put my head down over the next week to create a handy resource for other families in my community – with the information around these questions – providing information on access, and sharing what typical supports can look like for Autistic families and what a typical funding package can look like.
I hope this resource is helpful to you, or someone you know – it’s completely free and downloadable now to be used to learn more about the NDIS.
